Eridu as a Concept

In the Anunnaki narrative, Eridu represents:

The Sumerian King List begins:

"After kingship descended from heaven, the kingship was in Eridu."

Sitchin read this as: after the Anunnaki leadership arrived from Nibiru, their first base of operations was Eridu.

The name E.RIDU (π’‚Šπ’Š‘π’Ί, "The Faraway Home") appears in Sumerian texts as the name of the first city, established according to the Sumerian King List "when kingship descended from heaven."
