After the nuclear destruction of Sumer, the Anunnaki gradually withdrew from direct involvement in human affairs. The "golden age" when gods walked among men came to an end.

The Withdrawal

  • The spaceport was destroyed β€” no more travel to Nibiru
  • Enlil and his faction departed
  • Marduk went into exile (Egypt, then the Americas)
  • Other gods retreated to their remaining temples
  • Humanity was left to govern itself

The Legacy

The Anunnaki did not completely abandon humanity. They left behind: - The knowledge of civilization (writing, law, agriculture) - The sacred texts (which encode their science) - The great monuments (pyramids, ziggurats) - The promise of return

The Future Return

Sitchin predicted that the Anunnaki would return when Nibiru completes its next orbit β€” at the time of the next "crossing."
